IT'S ALL LIES

"IT'S ALL LIES" is a monologue with the actor and musician Gabriel Coupé (Brazil).

"How many lies does a human being need to see as Truth in order to construct the precarious house of cards that is oneself?"

The question resonates with both the actor and the spectator, crying out for the awakening of the torpor that prevents us from seeing the imminent tragedies around us, from the little lies that we say, to the extensive political corruption that devastates our cities, like seas of mud accumulating behind the walls of the dam ready to blow up.

The monologue, written by the creative team, deals with topics of self-knowledge and identity and at the same time speaks in a special way to workers and minorities that inhabit the mining towns of the Iberian countries, with their stories covered in dust, death, and mud.
